How to Make an Incident Report

Create incident reports to help document and address any accident that may occur in the company. Incident reports need to be concise and straightforward. It is okay if the content is not lengthy as long as the message gets relayed well. We prepared a few steps to help you out in the process.

Step 1: Recount the Incident that Happened

Stop and think for a minute. Recall the incident that happened and try to remember the details that might be relevant in your report. You can even go to the area where the incident occurred and look around. Use any bit of information in the area that is relevant. Just make sure that it was a part of the event and don’t put it, so you have a piece of evidence.

Step 2: Ask Other Witnesses About the Incident

If you found no satisfying piece of evidence for the status report, you can input in crucial witnesses that were present during the time the incident occurred. Ask multiple key witnesses about what they saw during the event. You can ask about the time, the person involved in the scenario, the items used, and many more. List all of the information down in an orderly manner.

Step 3: Assess the Validity of the Information

Do I need to call the cops for any incident that happens?
