A loan is given to students for which they are expected to use to pay off education-related expenses, such as college fees, textbooks, and room and board at the university. Many of these loans are presented to students at a lower interest rate, and the effectivity of the loan application would be made more possible when you download the Student Loan Application Forms here. In general, students are not really demanded to reimburse these loans until the end of a given grace period, which usually begins after they have finished their school, or to be more specific, when they land their first job right after graduating.

Short-term loans are only given to students to help them in an unanticipated emergency situation.

In most cases, they must reimburse a short-term loan within the term that they ask it. They must be currently enrolled and complete a Short-Term Student Loan Application Form (which is readily available here) in an appointment with a financial aid counselor to be considered for a short-term loan. Due to the limited short-term loan funds available, you should thoroughly look into private resources (parents, friends, or banks) and apply for a university short-term loan only as a last-ditch effort. There are usually three types of forms the school offers. They are Financial Aid Advance, Living Expense Loan, and Emergency Loan. The amount that can be borrowed depends on the school, but the co-signer must be a parent, legal guardian, or any relative of majority age who has sufficient income or is willing to provide evidence of ability to reimburse the loan. The loans are awarded for the minimum amount of tuition and fees each semester.

A lot of students do not have the luxury to attend college full-time (many even do not go to college anymore) for a number of reasons, such as they may need to work or take care of a family member, for instance. First-time students studying part-time can apply for a student loan to cover the cost of their tuition fees and download Part-Time Student Loan Forms here on this very website. This means that, just like the regular, full-time enrollees, part-time students have a choice not to pay for their studies right then and there. Private student loans, on the other hand, are based on credit, and for a student to qualify for the most beneficial rates, he or she will need a good credit rating.

If a student would like to study abroad, he or she would require a Student Pass, forms for which – entitled Student Pass Application Forms – are available here. International students looking for an admission to a school shall be asked to meet all prescribed entrance requirements for the program on the condition that their previous training was acquired in an institution of recognized standing, and provided further that there is a place for them in the college or school.

Below are commonly asked requirements from international applicants:

  • Original copy of the official transcript of records duly authenticated by the embassy or consulate in the student’s country of origin or legal residence
  • Certified true copy of the English translation of the diploma with the seal of the school and the signature of the registrar in ink, duly authenticated by the embassy or consulate in the student’s country of origin or legal residence
  • Holder of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a good academic record from a recognized institution
  • Two letters of reference from former professors, supervisors or employers
  • Official receipt of the application fee paid at the cashier’s office of the school they want to enroll to

A student grant is a need-based form of financial help provided to college students to help pay for their college expenses, such as paying tuition, fees, room and board, books, and anything else students may need money for. More often than not, one of the requirements that will be asked from the applicant would be a Student Grant Application Form, which can be downloaded here.

Grants are akin to scholarships because this is money that does not have to be reimbursed, unlike a student loan. Grants were created to allow students from lower income families to be able to attend college. With this, grant providers usually consider the total cost that is needed to be paid by a student within a year of attending college. This gives them a guide to specifically determine the amount that they shall provide for the student. Usually, grants are not only composed of the student’s tuition and other fees. Most grants also include the student’s boarding, food, books, and other expenses like transportation, travel expenses and bills. For public universities and out-of-state students, the amount may vary. Who qualifies for a student grant depends on which university the student is attending.

Students have to download the Part-Time Student Grant Application Forms here on this website, and they can be eligible for Part-Time Student Grant Application if:

  • He or she applies and qualifies for part-time student financial assistance.
  • He or she has successfully finished all courses for which he or she previously received a grant.
  • He or she is enrolled in a part-time degree, diploma, or certificate program (at least 12 weeks long within a period of 15 weeks in a row) at a designated post-secondary institution.

If you happen to be from Canada or in Canada, you might want to take advantage of the Part-Time Student Grant Applications program. There are three grants that are funded by their federal government: The Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students, the Canada Student Grant for Persons with Permanent Disabilities, and the Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Student with Dependents. Eligibility standards differ for each grant, but they are primarily targeted at low income students, students with a documented infirmity, students who have at least one child under 12 and/or a child with a permanent disability.

Going to university as an independent student can be a daunting process for students. But with the deadlines fast approaching, students should get their university funding applications and their Student Finance Application Forms here to ensure that their money is paid at the beginning of term. Exchange students are usually students in high school education who leave their home countries to spend some time in a foreign school between a few months to an entire year. During that time frame, most must attempt to learn the host country’s language and thus face the culture through the means of direct application. Most individuals go on exchange with the assistance of a Student Exchange Application Form and some sort of large, reputable organization known for having previously facilitated exchanges. This enterprise should be expected to find a host family for the student, as well as organizing flights, providing insurance, and helping the exchange student to get a student visa. Such organizations will usually cross-examine a prospective exchange candidate to see if he or she is suitable for the program and the ones accepted must often attend several pre-exchange orientations to help them prepare for their time abroad.

Two of the most important things, other than getting into your program, are obtaining your study permit and the Study Permit Application Form. Apart from some special circumstances, you will need a study permit to study in Canada (only that country offers this kind of program). To apply for your permit, you must have been welcomed by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada, and must be able to provide proof that:

  • You are a law-abiding citizen and do not have a criminal record (police check from your country of residence)
  • You have ample funds to pay for tuition, living expenses, transportation and other costs while you are living in Canada (bank statements, proof of scholarship, parental bank statements, etc.)
  • You are in good health (medical records)
  • You will leave Canada once you have completed your studies

Do not ever forget to apply for your permit in advance. If you arrive in Canada without your study permit you may not be allowed admission. It is also wise to consult the Immigration Canada website, just in case there are any changes to the law or any other things you have to consider before entering Canada.

Peer mentoring, also known as student mentoring, is a form of mentorship that usually happens between a person who has lived through a specific experience (peer mentor) and a person who is new to that experience (the peer mentee). An example would be a seasoned student being a peer mentor to a new student, the peer mentee, in a particular subject or study, or in a new school. Peer mentors are also used for health and lifestyle changes as well. For instance, clients or patients with support from peers may have one-on-one sessions that meet on a regular basis to help them recuperate or rehabilitate. Peer mentoring provides individuals who have suffered from a specific life experience the chance to learn from those who have recovered following such an experience.

Peer mentors give education, entertainment, and support opportunities to individuals. The peer mentor may introduce the mentee to new ideas and encourage the mentee to move beyond the things that are most comfortable. Since mentors have important tasks at hand, they are picked or chosen by organizations depending on the mentors’ skills, trustworthiness, ability to influence, character and sensibility. If you are someone seeking for a Student Mentor Application Form, this website is the place. Just download them here. Do not worry. They are all for free.
