recruitment requisition form

All business organizations have their own specific recruitment process. If there happens to have a vacancy in the company, whether the employee had resigned or had been terminated from it, the human resource needs to file a recruitment requisition form (also known as job requisition).

One has the option of creating a custom requisition form, or using one of the ready made ones available on our site. Requisitions and purchase order work similarly in the sense that recruitment requisition is a process of request for additional staff or a replacement of staff.

What is a Recruitment Requisition Form?

A recruitment requisition form is a form used to notify the decision makers of the organization that there is/are (a) request/s for hiring. After this form has been filled up with the necessary information, this is then forwarded to the human resource for approval in order to begin the recruitment process.

This form is also used to aid the position creation management within an organization. Technically, a recruitment requisition is a way of informing the management that there are job or position vacancies and requesting for a recruitment to take place. Just when a company requests for multiple purchases of supplies, purchase requisition forms are filled up.

Creating the Requisition or Recruitment Plan

Recruitment requisition should include the following in the form:

  • Job title and department
  • Hiring manager’s name
  • Job descriptions
  • Preferred starting date
  • Requirements such as the requisite skills and qualifications
  • Benefits and the salary range
  • Type of position whether for a replacement, reallocation, or new hire
  • Additional questions and concerns
  • Reasons for requisition

Not all requisition forms have the same inclusions of information, sometimes they differ depending on what suits the company. In any way, the purpose and objective of requisition form is what matters.

Recruitment Requisition Process

The recruitment requisition process starts with the requisition forms filled up and completed by the department supervisors. These forms are used when the supervisors who would like to hire for additional staff/s, or maybe replace the vacant position of a resigned or terminated employee.

When these forms are filled with necessary information to have the process done, it is then forwarded to the human resources department. After which, the recruiter or the human resource staff posts or place job postings that are based on the requisition and discussions with the manager or supervisor.

Many organizations follow job requisitions because these are part of the checks-and-balances procedures for workforce planning and staffing actions.

A job requisition includes the necessary information such as the job title, department, date filled, requisite skills and qualifications for the job. Other organizations would include the job description to create an accurate job posting, this is then known as a long-form job requisition.

These job requisitions are documented and serves as the basis of the company, to see how many positions they have recruited and how many have been successfully filled. Job requisitions are also used to measure the organization’s recruiting efforts efficiency.

Assuming that the recruitment process was a success and the employees were able to meet the standards, they are now required to undergo a training. This training is essential since this is to test the employees’ capacity in person. In doing so, the human resource department, makes a training requisition to the manager.
