What is a Work Requisition?

A work requisition is a formal request about something that needs to be done. Most common situation when a work requisition form is filled up, is when there is/are damages or breakage within the premises. Technically, there should be (an) action/s to be done in order to fix them.

How Does a Purchase Requisition Work?

A purchase requisition is used to notify the department head that there are some supplies or equipment that are needed to be ordered. These purchase requisitions are written in a purchase or supply requisition form which is then submitted to the purchase department by the stock room personnel.

But this will only be submitted once it has been approved by the department head of the company. The items written in the purchase requisition form are now then reviewed by the the person-in-charge in the purchasing department.

Difference Between Work Order and Work Requisition

A work order is a formal way of ordering or commanding someone or group of people to do a work. People who usually do work orders are the ones who are authorized to tell other people what they should do. An example for this one is when there are things that are needed or required to be repaired or maintained.

Just like when the an office equipment, like scanner/printer are malfunctioning. These kind of works that need work order forms to be filled up, are usually compulsory and for promoting or observing the safety and security of each and everyone in the workplace or environment.

While a work requisition is when someone makes a formal requests about something that they want to be done. Anyone can make a request to anybody. A payment requisition form for example, can be used to request for payment of a certain item or service.
