What Is a Notice of Commencement?

A Notice of Commencement will indicate the exact start date of a construction project. This is to be given to the Building Control Authority to permit the contractors in pursuing a project. Certificates are also needed by the authority as a safety assurance. The notice is a documented warning to the residences for them to be aware of the possible risks during the construction period.

Another type of notice which the main intention is to warn an individual is an Employee Warning Notice Form. This is given to employees who committed misconduct in a company. Unlike the Commencement which requires a month of waiting to be approved, this form can be effective on the same day as it is issued.

How to Notarize a Notice of Commencement?

What Is the Purpose of a Notice of Commencement?

The main purpose of having the Notice of Commencement is to state the start date of a project that involves construction. Some of the minor, yet important purposes includes the protection of the owner from having the obligation to overpay for the supplies requested by the contractor: and to ensure that the workers will receive their salaries in a timely manner.

Similar to a commencement that states a start date, a Notice to Vacate Form also indicates the specific time range in which the tenant is allowed to live in the premises of the landlord before he is expected to leave the area.
