Reviews are what people conduct for when they need to gather all information regarding a certain person, place, thing, or event, and assess whatever may need changing or improving. A good example would be through employee reviews wherein employers have to go over the level of performance that certain employees bring.

By doing reviews, people are able to understand information regarding one’s self capabilities, or that of others and to see whether or not certain goals that were aimed for have been achieved. After a review which gauges someone’s performance level, these people may be required to do an individual performance commitment wherein they state to increase the quality of their output or else suffer certain consequences.

Why Is it Important to Review a Training Program?

By reviewing training programs, people involved and in charge of holding them are able to understand whether or not their participants were able to benefit and gain knowledge from them, and to see if there are certain parts that they were or were not satisfied with.

So if one were to utilize any Sample Review Forms to assess any particular type of training, then providing comments on what can be improved or what should be changed could greatly benefit the trainee, the training organizers, and even future participants.

How to Do a Training Review

When reviewing a participants performance in any training session or program, one has to take note of what the participant was able to achieve first. From there, that evaluator must then take note of the problems that the participant had and state them clearly.

The review must also provide suggestions on how the participant may overcome these problems to help in further development. Once all that is done, the evaluator may state if the participant’s training is a success or if there are still areas that need to be worked on.

So take all of that in mind in the event where you are required to utilize forms such as Employee Performance Review Forms where you must assess one’s skill and knowledge level.

What Is a Pre-Training Review?

A training review is what certain employers have applicants take to help them determine the level of competency that these people might bring and to help these employers figure out the type of training plan best suited for these applicants.

It is somewhat similar to using project review forms wherein one assesses certain parts and adjusts accordingly to ensure that everything goes accordingly.

So make sure to have people perform pre-training reviews if you would like to determine the level of performance one might bring if you decide to let a person apply for your business.

How to Write a Training Review

If you should feel the need to write a training review in regards to one’s capabilities during and after the program, then make sure the following information is placed in:

  • Complete name of the trainee
  • Trainee’s job position and department
  • Name of employee’s supervisor
  • Name of the evaluator
  • Date of employee’s hire
  • Date of review
  • Date of when training started and ended
  • Type of training received
  • Parts that need improving
  • Actions taken to ensure improvement
  • Other comments from the evaluator

Make sure to completely fill out any forms such as monthly review forms that assess one’s training performance with the information above.
