A personal statement is a document where an individual will state his interests, properties and his reasons for writing and making the statement. An example of a personal statement is an Income Statement. This is where he will indicate the total income and the expected amount that he will receive within a time-frame.

A Financial Statement is another type of personal statement. Unlike the income statement, the financial statement will include all other factors of budgeting and planning for the financial health of an individual. This is where the expenditures, taxes, and bonuses are specified to acquire a better computation of the financial improvements in the future.

What Should be Included in a Personal Statement?

Personal statements play a huge part in the business industry, that’s why it is important to include the following in your Personal Business Financial Statement Form:

  • The business assets.
This will state the liabilities, properties, and the owner’s equity.
  • The income statement.
This will cover the amount of income for a specific month or annually. This will show if the company is improving or if the company is settling into an easy pace.
  • Cash balance.
This area should highlight the amount of money coming in and out of the company. There should be an equal balance whenever there are expenditures to be made.

How to Fill Out a Personal Financial Statement Form?

Filling out a form will be easier if all the needed documents are already prepared to serve as your basis.

  • Start filling out the income area. State the salary and average that you have annually. You could also specify your net investment and real estate income. You may use a Profit and Loss Statement Form and attach it directly to the financial form.
  • Indicate your loans and liabilities. Be sure to write a full description of your loan and the amount associated with it.
  • State your properties. These should include everything that is under your name.
  • Lastly, include your taxes.

Things to Put in Your Personal Statement

Personal statements can be used for financial and employment purposes.

For your personal financial statements:

  • Your liquid assets.
These refer to assets that can be liquidated and convertible into cash.
  • Your investments.
State the details of where you are investing your budget and specify the amount of each.
  • Your fixed assets.
Samples of fixed assets are houses and lots. These are your properties that cannot be easily converted into cash.
  • Your liabilities.
  • These refer to your debts and obligations associated with your financial health.
  • Your net worth.
This is the total computed amount when you subtract your liabilities from your assets.
  • Your income.
State every income that you received throughout the year.
  • Your expenses.
It would be helpful if the expenses from the tiniest amount will be included to avoid computation mistakes. You may also use an Expense Statement Form as a separate sheet about your expenses.

For employee or personal curriculum vitae statements:

  • About yourself.
No need to state your name in this area, all you need to put is your achievements and qualities.
  • Your skills and experiences.
It would be best if you highlight the skills required for the position you are applying for.
  • Your goals.
State the possibilities of where you are a few years from the day you will be hired for the job. Include what your motivation will be to reach your dreams.
